  • Microstructural and electrical study of mixed phase of Pb

A new lead-based relaxor Pb(Ba 1/3 Nb 2/3 )O 3 (PBN) synthesized by a columbite route is reported. X-ray diffraction shows a perovskite structure with a small percentage of cubic pyrochlore phases. Temperature dependence of dielectric response shows the typical relaxor behavior. Impedance spectroscopic data were used to gain an insight into the electrical properties of the sample.

  • Microstructural study of the formation mechanism of metal

Metal–organic framework MOF-5 is re-synthesised using an established method which reveals an extraordinary formation mechanism. The earliest detected crystalline phase is Zn 5 (OH) 8 (NO 3) 2 ·2H 2 O in the form of nanoplatelets 5 to 10 nm in diameter which aggregate with surface adsorbed organic molecules into a layered inorganic–organic composite.

  • Crystallography and microstructural studies of phase

Jan 31 2011 · The crystallography microstructures and phase transformation mechanisms in dysprosia (Dy2O3) have been studied. The lattice parameters of B and C phases were refined by x-ray diffraction (XRD). The modulated structures and decomposed structures in the CaO-doped samples were characterized by transmission electron spectroscopy (TEM). A new twin was observed in the modulated B phase.
